This is a non-exempt position.
Job Description:
This position provides clerical support to the plant Cost Analyst. Performs month-end close and support projects as requested. Acts as liaison between location and Decatur corporate accounting team. Position is a potential development position from which incumbent may move to an accounting position with more responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Works as member of the Clinton team, actively promoting the plant Safety culture and major plant initiatives.
Works with department superintendents and process engineers to receive and compile month-end inventory for corporate Accounting in Decatur.
Reviews property ledger to make sure assets are added correctly and reviewed for assets no longer in service.
Maintains strong internal controls, including completion of Sarbanes-Oxley review.
Acts as internal auditor for various areas of the facility.
Acts as Records Retention coordinator.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
Strong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem solving skills.
Proficiency in EXCEL and other MS Office products.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to function independently.
Good time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to walk through the plant to get to the office (which is roughly .25 miles from the plant entrance).The selection process will include testing (on MS Office products) and interviewing.
Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
