The R.N. assumes responsibility/accountability for a group of residents/patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these residents/patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment and other health care team members. Supports, facilitates and participates in the elder-focused social model of care. Ages served are adult to geriatric. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Active registration for Registered Nurse - Board of Nursing, State of Iowa. 2. Gerontological or dementia experience preferred. 3. Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire. 4. Associates degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing. 5. Bachelor''s degree in nursing preferred; must obtain within 6 years of hire. 6. Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment. 7. Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills. 8. Must be capable of problem solving, critical thinking, and assessment of resident/patient conditions in the geriatric and/or dementia setting. 9. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. 10. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
